Ends on a balanced note.

The Marcellin grape variety is a cross between Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache. The Carignan grape variety is a red grape variety of Spanish origin that is commonly found in French wine, but is also widely planted throughout the western Mediterranean and throughout the world.

It is the result of a collaboration between Wine & Friends and Munitz Winery.

This wine is in memory of Captain Dekal Swissa, who was 23 years old when he died.

Dekal was born in the Moshav Bar Giora. In preparation for his enlistment, he spent a year in Atlanta promoting the love of Israel among local communities. After attending the pre-military preparatory school in Eli, he enlisted in the elite Magellan unit. As part of his service, he attended an infantry officers’ course. After completing the course, he joined Golani as the commander of a recruit division, with the aim of instilling the values he held dear in the soldiers he commanded. After the training, Dekel promised the soldiers’ parents that he would do everything possible to bring them home safely. He kept his promise. As the only officer in the “Magan Bari” (“Pega”) outpost, Dekal led the battle bravely and made sure to get his soldiers into the protected area of the outpost while he covered them from the outside. He fell last in the outpost on the morning of Simchat Torah, October 7, 2023. Thanks to him, everyone in the shelter was saved.

In honor of his memory
