Semi-Dry White Blend Wine in Memory of Ilay Gamzu

Grape Composition: 33% Chardonnay, 25% Roussanne, 15% Viognier, 15% Gewürztraminer, 12% Sauvignon Blanc.

Production Details: The different grape varieties began fermentation separately. Near the end of fermentation, the final blend was created, and fermentation was halted before the wine became dry by lowering the temperature to zero degrees and separating the wine from the yeast. The wine retains about 7 grams of sugar per liter, so despite being semi-dry by definition, it remains light and can accompany any meal like any dry wine.

Vineyard Locations: Revadim and Abu Nofal, with yields of 800-1000 kg per dunam.

Wine Characteristics: The wine has a straw-green color with powerful aromas of blossoms and tropical fruits. The taste is rich and complex with pleasant sweetness and crisp, balanced acidity. Alcohol content: 13%.

This wine is produced by Gush Etzion Winery and Wine&Friends.

White Wine in Memory of Ilay Gamzu

An Israeli hero, 21 years old at the time of his passing. Born on October 20, 2002. Ilay was full of life, with a unique charm that made everyone connect with him. He had the most beautiful smile in the world, the smile of a child with a huge heart!

Our Ilay excelled in everything – in studies, football, his military service, and especially in his love for people and generosity towards others.

Ilay was a warrior and commander in the 890th Battalion and the Paratroopers’ Training Base. He embarked on his final mission on the cursed Saturday of October 7, 2023. He was killed in battle while fighting bravely and protecting civilians in the communities of Yad Mordechai and Netiv HaAsara.

Before heading out to fight, Ilay parted from his mother with these words: “Mom, I’m going to do what I swore to do two and a half years ago.”

We will always remember him.
