Rosé Wine in Memory of Ilay Gamzu

This wine is composed of 49% Mourvèdre, 30% Grenache, and 21% Syrah. It is a peach-pink rosé, light in character, reminiscent of wines from southern France. The wine has a balanced acidity, pleasant fruitiness, and unique Mediterranean flavors. The grapes undergo a short maceration (about two hours) on the skins before pressing. This is followed by a cold fermentation process. Each variety is fermented separately until the residual sugar is completely fermented (the rosé is dry), and then the blend is created. The alcohol content is 12.5%.

The wine is produced in collaboration with the Gush Etzion Winery and Wine&Friends.

Rosé in Memory of Ilay Gamzu

An Israeli hero, 21 years old at the time of his passing. Born on October 20, 2002. Ilay was full of life, with a unique charm that made everyone connect with him. He had the most beautiful smile in the world, the smile of a child with a huge heart!

Our Ilay excelled in everything – in studies, football, his military service, and especially in his love for people and generosity towards others.

Ilay was a warrior and commander in the 890th Battalion and the Paratroopers’ Training Base. He embarked on his final mission on the cursed Saturday of October 7, 2023. He was killed in battle while fighting bravely and protecting civilians in the communities of Yad Mordechai and Netiv HaAsara.

Before heading out to fight, Ilay parted from his mother with these words: “Mom, I’m going to do what I swore to do two and a half years ago.”

We will always remember him.
